Wellington On a Plate’s central event, DINE Wellington, features three Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year Supreme Award winners.
Iconic Cuba Street establishment Logan Brown was last night named Supreme Winner of the 2009 awards, completing a culinary hat-trick for the capital. Matterhorn – also on Cuba Street – took out the title last year, while Martin Bosley’s was the 2007 winner.
Logan Brown was described by the award judges as a “temple of serious dining”. The dining experience was "seamless, welcoming, and expert", they said. The restaurant also won the Best Smart Dining in the Metropolitan category.
Logan Brown, Matterhorn and Martin Bosley’s are all offering set menu lunches of two courses, a glass of Wairarapa wine and a tea or coffee for $35 as part of DINE Wellington. Foodies will have to be in quick to secure a table, but there are 40 other incredible restaurants in the programme so noone’s going to go hungry.
