The Visa Wellington On a Plate team will be running a series of information days throughout the region over the next fortnight to explain how businesses can take part in the festival, application deadlines and answer any questions people may have about taking part.
Festival Co-Director Kate Jamieson says while it may seem early to be planning for August, the festival has grown to such a scale that it requires a slow bake.
“With some 100 restaurants and 80 events now taking part in Visa Wellington On a Plate, we need to set the festival programme by the end of February to compile all the necessary collateral, logistics and plans.”
Applications open at the start of February and close on Tuesday February 21. The full festival programme will be launched in mid-June.
