The Visa Wellington On a Plate Award
The strategic goal of the VWOAP Festival is to increase exports (GDP) of Tourism and Food & Beverage products from the greater Wellington region, thereby improving the quality of life for the whole community.
This goal is achieved by positioning the Wellington region as the Cuisine Capital of New Zealand. We do this by achieving three objectives:
1. Maximising awareness of the VWOAP Festival to consumers
2. Raising the profile of food & beverage producers, manufacturers & suppliers
3. Educating all participants (both consumers & producers) of Wellington’s food story & economic potential
The team at VWOAP strongly encourage you to use local products and suppliers in the creation of your DINE Wellington menus. If you believe that your DINE Wellington menu truly reflects Wellington and the fine products and suppliers in our region, you will be eligible to enter The Visa Wellington On a Plate Award.
